To Fiber or Not to Fiber

Between TV commercials and doctors visits, the word fiber seems to be the magic behind healthy dieting and eating.  In fact women should consumer approximately 25 grams of fiber per day while men need to consume around 38 grams of daily fiber.
On average people eat significantly less fiber than the daily recommendation.  Instead high fat foods, refined grains, fast food and junk foods fill our diets.  There are two types of fiber; soluble and insoluble.  Soluble fiber will dissolve in water such as fruits, vegetables, bran and beans while Insoluble fiber will not dissolve in water and cannot be digested by our bodies such as whole grains.
Fiber is a significant addition to our daily ritual because of the positive effects it offers for our weight and health.  Fiber slows down our digestion so that we feel full longer and take in fewer calories.  In addition, fiber also alleviates constipation, lowers cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease.
Increasing your daily intake of fiber is as easy as adding Arbonne Daily Fiber Boost to your daily consumption.  Thanks to Arbonne you can now boost your daily dietary fiber intake with twelve grams of fiber, which accounts for half of the recommended consumption while still not effecting the taste of your food.  The boost is a blend of soluble fiber that is added to all foods and beverages, including delicious protein shakes. http://www.arbonne.com/HealthAndWellness/ArbonneEssentials/Products/index.asp

  1. In fact, fiber is very important to the diet. Since April 1 I've dropped 22 pounds (eight to go, I'm thinking) and, while there's no one magic bullet, smart calories, balanced, with awareness of fiber -- all have helped. Oh, that and incessant exercise.
